Selecting a digital program

1 Select the desired digital broadcast network
The TV set incorporates a digital tuner that allows you to receive three digital broadcast networks–– terrestrial
digital, BS, CS. What you do first is to select the network of your choice.
Press (terrestrial digital) ,
to select the desired network.
2 Select the type of broadcast
Digital broadcasts offer not only TV programs but also radio and data programs. After you have selected the
network of your choice in step
data, by pressing

desired media (TV, radio, or data).
• Each time you press the button, the media changes

Operating a data program screen
Data programs usually display control button and item graphics on the screen. Use
cursor buttons and
an item, confirm your choice, or switch screens back and forth, etc.

Using the channel select buttons
The channel select buttons are factory preset to receive the channels listed in the tables shown on page
218.
After you have received the desired type of broadcast in step
of the channel select buttons
Selecting a channel by entering the 3-digit channel number (Ex. Selecting a BS channel)
Press (digital channel number input). "BS---" is displayed in the top right corner of the screen. Enter
the 3-digit channel number using the channel select buttons (1-10/0).

After you have received the desired type of broadcast in step
of (channel up/down) to select the next higher or lower channel.
