This.limited.express.warranty.(Warranty).applies.to.Toshiba.branded.Blu-ray.Disc.Player.("BD.
Player").sold.by.Toshiba.(AUSTRALIA).Pty.Limited.("Toshiba").through.it's.authorised.resellers.
and.distributors,.and.applies.only.to.BD.Player.that.is.new.on.the.date.of.purchase.and.for.which.
you.have.an.invoice.showing.proof.of.purchase.
Toshiba.expressly.warrants.this.Toshiba.BD.Player.to.be.free.from.operational.defects.in.work-
manship.and.materials.for.a.period.described.in.the.Warranty.periods.section.below..
If.you.are.in.doubt.as.to.the.Warranty.period.relevant.to.your.BD.Player,.refer.to.either.the.BD.
Player.brochure.or.Toshiba's.Australian.Website.(www.toshibaav.com.au),.or.contact.Toshiba.on.
13.30.70.
This.Warranty.does.not.include.remedy.of.failure.caused.by.improper.setup,.incompatible.BD.
media,.installation,.operation,.cleaning.or.maintenance,.accidental.damage,.misuse,.abuse,.non-
Toshiba modifications to the BD Player, normal wear and tear and defects advised at the time of
sale,.or.any.other.event,.act,.default.or.omission.outside.Toshiba's.control..
Warranty Period
Toshiba.BD.players.&.recorders.have.parts.and.labour.warranty.for.1.year.from.the.date.of.
purchase,.for.home.use,.with.the.exception.of.remote.control.batteries,.which.are.excluded.as.
consumable.items.
or,
Parts.&.labour.warranty.for.6.months.from.the.date.of.purchase,.for.commercial.use,.with.the.
exception.of.remote.control.batteries,.which.are.excluded.as.consumable.items..
What is covered by the Warranty
1..If.any.genuine.and.unaltered.part.within.the.BD.Player.fails.during.normal.and.proper.use.
within.the.Warranty.period.stated.for.that.model,.Toshiba.will,.at.its.option,.exchange.the.BD.
Player.for.an.item.that.is.functionally.equivalent.to.that.originally.supplied,.or.better;.or.repair.
the.BD.Player.
2..Repaired.or.exchanged.items.are.warranted.for.the.longer.of.the.balance.of.the.original.BD.
Player.Warranty.or.90.days.
3..All.parts.removed.for.exchange.become.the.property.of.Toshiba.
4..This.Warranty.is.personal.to.the.person.or.organisation.named.on.the.original.sales.receipt.
(proof.of.purchase),.and.is.not.transferable.to.a.subsequent.owner.
5..Unless.otherwise.stated.on.Toshiba's.website.or.instructed.by.the.Toshiba.Support.Centre.you.
are.required.to.mail-in.your.BD.Player.to.a.nominated.Toshiba.Service.Centre.at.your.expense..

6..The.targeted.Warranty.repair.or.replacement.turnaround.time.is.5.working.days.in.depot,.
subject.to.the.AV.authorised.service.centre's.ability.to.replicate.the.fault.and.parts.availability..
Intermittent faults must be replicated to confirm that the fault is related to the BD Player and
covered.by.this.Warranty..
7..This.Warranty.is.only.valid.within.Australia..This.Warranty.is.valid.only.for.Toshiba.BD.Players.
distributed.by.Toshiba,.and.applies.only.to.BD.Players.which.are.new.on.the.date.of.purchase.
and.accompanied.by.a.proof.of.purchase,.or.evidence.of.supply.from.Toshiba.
Warranty start date
The.Warranty.period.starts.at.one.of.the.following.instances,.provided.valid.documentation.can.
be.produced.to.substantiate.the.claim.
1..The.date.of.purchase.from.an.authorised.Toshiba.reseller..Your.dated.sales.or.delivery.receipt,.
