VoiceMode
VoiceMode™ from VoiceSignal Technologies is the fastest, and most
convenient way to compose text messages on a mobile phone.
VoiceMode lets you use your voice to dictate words, names,
punctuation, and even abbreviations (like LOL and TTYL), instead of
keying them in by hand.
VoiceMode is seamlessly integrated into your phone's text
messaging application, so you can switch from keypad text entry to
voice dictation with the push of the side camera button.
Note: VoiceMode supports English only. All the voice prompts and
text will be English only even when the handset is configured for
French display.
To enter text using VoiceMode:
1. From the text entry screen, press the right softkey
Options and select VoiceMode.
2. A VoiceMode Tutorial message appears. Press the left
softkey
Cancel to continue.
3. To activate VoiceMode, press and hold the
right side of the phone. VoiceMode beeps and animates the
Listening icon
that you can begin speaking.
Note: If you have not used VoiceMode before, you must adapt it to
recognize the special characteristics of your voice. The adaptation
process takes a few minutes and involves reading a list of 122 words,
one word at a time. For more information, see "VoiceMode" on page
46.
