4. FUNCTION OVERVIEW

LEVEL BOOST (1) - This control increases your instrument's volume without changing its sound (from 0dB to 14dB ), which is very useful for
solos and any time you need to boost your signal without distortion.
VLE FILTER CONTROL (2) - The VLE (Vintage Loudspeaker Emulator) filters out high frequencies to give you a mellower, less modern sound.
As you turn the knob clockwise, you will find that a wider and wider range of high frequencies gets cut. This EQ effect is especially useful for
acoustic and older styles of music.
VPF FILTER CONTROL (3) - The VPF (Variable Pre-shape Filter) boosts lows (around 35 Hz) and highs (around 10 kHz), and cuts mids at 380 Hz.
This filter is especially great for rock music, slap bass and playing with a pick.
BOOST SWITCh* (4) - The LED indicates that the boost is engaged.
FILTERS SWITCh* (5) - The LED indicates that the filters are activated.
*True/Buffered Bypass
TRUE BYPASS - When the pedal's controls are 'off' , your signal goes directly from the input jack to the output jack without any degradation of
audio quality.
BUFFERED BYPASS - When using a long cable to connect the pedal's output to an amp or other device, this useful option (switchable below
the pedal) allows you to preserve your signal quality.
5. CONNECTIONS
1/4" INPUT jACk (CONNECTS TO YOUR INSTRUMENT) (6) - Make sure that your amp is off and the volume is turned down before making
connections. Connect your instrument to the input of the Super Booster and the output of the Super Booster to your amplifier.
1/4" OUTPUT jACk (CONNECTS TO YOUR AMPLIFIER) (10)
GROUND LIFT SWITCh (7) - Occasionally when you're playing live and using the LINE OUT (8), the soundman will detect a hum from your
amp's signal. This is almost always due to a grounding problem related to your power source; you will likely eliminate this hum simply by pres-
sing the GROUND (GND) LIFT (7) switch.
XLR DI OUT (8) - This highly practical pedal also acts as an active DI, so you can connect it directly to a mixer, recording unit or audio interface
via the balanced XLR output.
DC IN (9) - External power supply connection: 12VDC (1700 mA) PSU.
