Receiving messages

When you receive a message, the phone will play the ring tone that you have selected for incoming messages, and the
message icon will be displayed on the screen of your phone.
If you do not read the messages, this icon remains displayed on the screen. When it flashes, the memory is full.
Receiving icons, wallpapers or ringtones can take several seconds. An icon is blinking when the download of your message
is in progress.
Two options are offered to retrieve your MMS: automatic and manual options.
The « automatic retrieval » is pre-programmed in the phone, and will be used on your home network..
If you are using a network other than your home Vodafone network, you will get a message informing you that an MMS has
been received.
If « manual mode » is activated, then you will receive only a notification by SMS in your Inbox, meaning that a MMS is held
for you by Vodafone; select this notification, and read it when you want to retrieve the MMS from the network.

Outbox

This menu displays the messages that failed to send. You can therefore try to send them again.

Inbox

Received messages are stored in the SIM card or in the phone until you choose to delete them.
From the Messaging menu, please choose the Inbox menu and [Select].
Each message shows the presence of any attachments, the time and date the message was received and its size.
Messages are listed in chronological order, the latest one being displayed at the top.
The quantity of Not Read and Not Retrieved messages is shown. Not Retrieved and Not Read messages are shown in bold.
Read a message by pressing the OK key. Further Options are available.
Enclosures (pictures, sounds, links, phone numbers) which you receive can be extracted and saved in order to be used later
on.
Pictures and sounds are saved in My Files menu. Links are stored in Vodafone live! menu (Bookmarks).
