Which Extinguisher to Use
Your new HomeHero
Extinguisher is a type BC extinguisher.
There are two common types of fire
extinguishers, ABC and BC. Type ABC
extinguishers fight wood, paper and cloth
fires, plus flammable liquid and electrical
fires. Type BC extinguishers should
only be used for flammable liquids and
electrical fires. Type BC extinguishers
are typically used in kitchens because
the chemical agent in ABC extinguishers
may damage ovens and other kitchen
surfaces. Type ABC extinguishers should
be used in other rooms of the home.
Inspection and Maintenance
To ensure that your fire extinguisher will
be ready when needed:
• Read and follow all instructions on the
label and in the User's Guide.
• Inspect the extinguisher AT LEAST
ONCE A MONTH (more frequently
when circumstances require).
• Check that the extinguisher is charged.
Pointer on pressure indicator MUST
be in green section. If pointer is in red
section, extinguisher is NOT ready for
use and MUST BE REPLACED.
• Check the discharge nozzle. Make sure
it is clean and free of obstructions.
• Keep the extinguisher clean. Check
for dents, scratches, corrosion or any
other damage.
• Be sure the pull pin is firmly in place.

KIDDE ® will repair or replace this product to the
original owner free of charge, if defective in material
or workmanship. This warranty does not apply to
damage resulting from accident, alteration, abuse or
failure to follow instructions supplied.
KIDDE ® , at its option, may refund the purchase
price in lieu of replacement or repair. ANY AND
ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY
WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS
FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE SHALL BE LIMITED
TO A PERIOD OF SIX (6) YEARS FROM DATE OF

agent. Familiarize yourself with the instruction label

Cuál Extinguidor Usar
Su nuevo extinguidor de incendios para
cocinas HomeHero

ABC combaten fuegos que involucran
madera, papel y telas asi como tambien
líquidos inflamables e incendios de tipo
eléctrico. Extinguidores BC son utilizados
típicamente en cocinas ya que el agente
químico en extinguidores ABC puede dañar
su horno y otras superficies en su cocina.
Extinguidores ABC deben ser usados en
otras habitaciones en su hogar.
Inspección Y Mantenimiento
Para asegurarse que su extinguidor esté
listo para ser usado cuando lo necesite:
• Lea y siga todas las instrucciones en la
etiqueta y el manual del usuario.
• Inspeccione
