23 Insert the handle end of one of the blades into the scissors
slot, and draw the blade gently through the slot.
24 Do the same with the other blade, to grind both blades.

25 You may need to repeat the process, depending on the
hardness of the blade and the state it's in.
don't overdo it
26 Take care not to over-sharpen, you'll reduce the life (and
the width) of the blade – "little and often" is the secret of
keeping a good blade sharp.
care and maintenance
1 Unplug before cleaning.
2 Rotate the handle ninety degrees anti-clockwise till it's
vertical, then a bit more, to force the pivot from the small
hole to the big hole. You can now pull the handle out.

Be wary of the cutter – it's sharp
3 Wash the handle in warm soapy water.
4 Rinse and dry it thoroughly before refitting.
5 Wipe the body with a soft, damp cloth, with a little
washing-up liquid, if necessary.
6 Don't put the body in water or any other liquid.
7 Don't put any part of this appliance in a dishwasher.
8 Don't use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or solvents.
9 Don't oil or grease the drive gear or cutting blade.
