■ Store the paper shredder in a safe place which is out of the reach of children.
■ To prolong service life, do not feed paper clips or staples into the shredder.
■ To avoid injury, do not feed fingers, hair and neck ties into the shredder.
■ To avoid overloading the shredder, feed no more than 5 pieces of paper into the shredder at a time.
■ Unplug if not used for long periods of time.
■ Clip the upper and lower sections of the waste paper collection bin together.
■ Place the shredder assembly over the bin and the paper shredder is ready for use.
■ Slide the switch to the 'AUTO/ON' position, ensuring nothing is near the blade area.
■ Feed the paper into the inlet. Release the paper as soon as it is taken up by the shredder to avoid injury.
■ Should the paper become stuck or jammed, slide the switch to the 'REV' position to reverse the feed.
■ Do not feed more than five pieces of paper at a time and do not feed through documents that contain
paper clips or staples, as this will shorten the life of the blades and motor dramatically.
■ For continuous feed, switch the slide switch to the 'AUTO/ON' position.
■ Always switch the shredder off and unplug it from the mains in between uses.
NOTE: It is good practice to double check the document prior to shredding to ensure no important
documents are shredded inadvertently.
