Iʼm FUNKY FURBY! The more you play with me, the more I do!
I love to sing my favorite songs! Play me your favorite music and Iʼll even
dance for you! Bring me home today and Iʼll be your best friend!
Be sure to take good care of me by following the instructions in this
booklet!

Getting Started

To turn FUNKY FURBY on, slide the ON/OFF
switch to "ON."
FUNKY FURBY consists of the following parts:
Back Sensor:
Pet me here! I love

Mouth Sensor:
"Feed" me here,
but only when Iʼm
hungry!
Microphone:
Talk to me here!

About My Personality
I speak Furbish®, a magical language common to all FURBY creatures.
When we first meet, this is what Iʼll be speaking. To help you understand
what Iʼm saying, please use the Furbish® - English dictionary found in the
back of this book. I can learn how to speak English by listening to you
talk. The more you play with me, the more I will use
your language.

If FUNKY FURBY asks you a question, say either:

Ok
Yes, please
No
No, thank you
No way
I donʼt understand*
* If you couldnʼt understand what I said, Iʼll
repeat what I last said to you. I may say it a
little bit differently, with more English, so that
you can understand it better. If you tell me
"I donʼt understand" too many times, Iʼll get
sad and frustrated. Sometimes itʼs best to be
polite and pretend you understand – at least
until I learn more of your language!
