Starting a cold engine

1. With the parking brake applied, shift the
drive select lever to "F" for forward, or "R"
for reverse.
CAUTION:
Do not shift from "F" forward to "R" re-
verse while the utility vehicle is moving.
2. Turn the main switch to "ON" or "ON
POTENTIAL HAZARD
Depressing accelerator pedal while
turning on the main switch.
WHAT COULD HAPPEN
The utility vehicle could start moving
unexpectedly.
HOW TO AVOID THE HAZARD
Keep foot away from accelerator pedal
while turning on the main switch.
