8. Create backup media with myRecovery
(Hard Disk Drive recovery models only)
• Recovery discs (for your pre-installed operating system) are NOT included with LIFEBOOKs that are
shipped with MyRecovery. If your hard drive crashes or the computer system becomes corrupted,
you can use the recovery discs that you create to restore the system to its original condition.
• Click on the [MyRecovery] icon to create backup recovery media and application discs.
• Refer to the "Saving and Recovering Your Factory and System Images" guide for more
detailed instructions.
9. User's Guide
• Your electronic User's Guide contains important detailed information
about your new computer. You can access your User's Guide by
selecting its icon from the screen desktop.
• The Fujitsu Installer should automatically launch. If it doesn't, you will
need to fi nd the Setup.exe fi le on the Recovery disc's root folder.
• Click [Continue].
• Select "I Agree" and click [Continue] in the License Agreement box.
• Select "User's Guide" from the "Utilities/Applications" category.
• Click [Install Selected Subsystems].
• The User's Guide will be copied to your hard drive in the C:\Fujitsu\Manual directory.
Shortcuts to the User's Guide will be placed on your desktop and in the Start menu.

Common Indicators

Status Indicators

Power Indicator
On, solid: Tablet is switched
on and operating.
On, fl ashing: The system is switched
on, but has entered Sleep mode.
Off: The tablet is either off or in
Save-to-Disk mode.
Battery Charging Indicator
Green, solid: aC power supplied
and battery charge completed.
Orange, solid: aC power supplied
and battery is charging.
Orange, fl ashing: aC power supplied but an
error occurred while battery was charging.
Off: No aC power supplied.
Battery Level Indicator
Green, solid: 50% to 100% charged.
Orange, solid: 13% to 49% charged.
red, solid: 0% to 12% charged.
Orange, fl ashing: Battery charge is
being checked (for four seconds
after battery installation).
red, fl ashing: The battery is faulty
and should be replaced.
Off: There is no battery installed.
Ctl+Alt+Del Button
Press and hold for two seconds to log back on after system
startup, a system lock, or returning from power management.
After log-on, press and hold for two seconds to launch Windows
Task Manager or – in the network – open the security window.
Change screen orientation
Press to change the orientation of the screen display from
vertical to horizontal or vice versa.
Fujitsu Menu Button
Brings up TouchLauncher to start installed programs.
Press and hold to bring up the Fujitsu menu to change
certain system settings.
Press in Sleep or Off mode for battery check.

If the battery pack is installed while the power is turned
off, the battery level indicator will display the charge
level for fi ve seconds after it blinks orange.
If the AC adapter is not connected or the battery pack
is not fully charged when the computer is switched to
sleep mode, the indicator will blink. The LED blinks at
the rate of one second on/fi ve seconds off.
Batteries subjected to shocks, vibration or extreme
temperatures can be permanently damaged.
Caution
A shorted battery is damaged and must be replaced.
Hard Drive Access Indicator
Shows if your internal hard drive
is being accessed.
NumLk Indicator
Glows green when the integrated
keyboard is set in ten-key
numeric keypad mode.
CapsLock Indicator
Glows green when your
keyboard is set to type
in all capital letters.
ScrLk Indicator
Glows green when
your scroll lock
is active.
Quick Tips
It takes approximately 4 hours to
charge a fully discharged single
battery with unit off or in suspend
mode.

for best battery life.
• adjust display brightness levels to
lowest comfortable setting.
• Utilize Suspend mode when not
using your notebook.

Adjusting Display Brightness
• Fn + F6 to decrease brightness
• Fn + F7 to increase brightness
Adjusting Volume
• Fn + F8 to decrease volume
• Fn + F9 to increase volume
