Repeated cycling of the power button on a Harman Kardon AVR20 II receiver could be caused by automatic power-on behavior. If input function buttons (like CD, TUNER, TAPE, TV/AUX, VCR, or PHONO) are pressed while the unit is in STANDBY mode, the receiver automatically powers on and switches to that input. If any malfunction or repeated signal from a remote or control device causes these inputs to trigger repeatedly, the unit may turn on and off repeatedly.
