Surround button
The benefits of surround sound are enormous. You
can be completely enveloped in sound; just as if you
were at a concert hall or cinema.
The surround effect can be obtained without the use
of external surround speakers.
On screen display during surround mode.
Type of broadcast
MONO (including
STEREO switched to
MONO by you) and
BILINGUAL
STEREO
Select the AV mode
( AV1, AV2, AV3 and
AV4)
Note:
If the stereo signal is poor or the receiving conditions
are not optimum or if STEREO: MONO automatic
switching occurs, it is recommended that "STEREO"
switch to MONO (Refer to page 41) be used. If problems
or unusual sudden effects are encountered in any of
the surround modes, it is recommended that
"SURROUND OFF" be selected.
