Security settings

PIN code
PIN1/PIN2 protects your SIM
card against unauthorised use.
When the PIN1 code request is
on, you must enter the PIN1
code each time the phone is
turned on.
Important:
R If you enter the incorrect PIN1/PIN2 code 3
times, the SIM card is locked. Enter the
8-digit PUK1 code for PIN1 or the 8-digit
PUK2 code for PIN2 to unlock.
R If you enter the incorrect PUK1/PUK2 code
10 times, contact your network operator/
service provider for further information.
R Both PIN/PUK numbers are issued by your
network operator/service provider.
R The PIN1 code request cannot be set to
"Off" with some SIM card types.

Phone code
The phone code protects the
phone against unauthorised use.
When the phone code request
is on, you must enter the phone
code each time the phone is
turned on.
Important:
R The phone will automatically turn off if you
enter the incorrect phone code 3 times. If
you forget your phone code, contact an
authorised service centre.
