    Power Drill or Phillips Screw Driver ⇒ To remove Packaging screws • Leather Gloves ⇒ To protect hands from rough and sharp • items found on the Sierra Fireplace. It is recommended that a minimum ⇒ of two people assemble and install the Sierra Fireplace.

    UNWRAPPING PROCEDURE WARNING THE CAST TOP AND HEARTH PAD OF THE SIERRA IS NOT ATTACHED. DO NOT SLIDE OR MOVE THE UNIT UNTIL THESE ITEMS HAVE BEEN REMOVED. 1. Carefully dissect the outside wrapping to expose the unit. Maintain control of the blade the product behind can be damaged.

    REMOVAL OF THE FIREBOX 1. Remove all painted brown screws. 2. With a minimum of 2 people slide the fire- box carefully and set aside. BE CAREFUL NOT TO DROP THE UNIT DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. WARNING FIREBOX WEIGHT IS 150-175 LBS.

    PLACING THE UNIT FRAGILE 1. When moving the surround into place, be careful not to damage the edges, they are fragile. 2. THIS SHOULD BE MOVED WITH NO LESS THAN TWO PEOPLE.

    FIREBOX ASSEMBLY 1. Slide the Firebox slowly and at an even rate back into its’ original position. 2. Re-attach the Firebox with the screws re- moved on Page 5, Step 1.

    TOP PLACEMENT Place the top on the surround. The back should be flush with the stone and centered.
  • Page 9: Planning The Gas Line

    PLANNING YOUR GAS LINE The gas inlet into the Sierra firebox is located in the back left corner. Plan your gas line accordingly. Gas Line Inlet The most convenient way to run your gas line is up through the bottom. The bottom is open and free of obstructions.

    LOCATING YOUR TANK 1. Your Sierra gas log is equipped for use with either Natural Gas or Propane Gas. Please confirm the type of gas you are installing. 2. If your unit is intended to work on Pro- pane Gas please adhere to all local and national codes.

    PLANNING YOUR GAS LINE Have a qualified licensed professional make all the gas connections at this time before sliding the hearth pad into position. This should be done in accordance to all local and national codes. Slide the removable Hearth Pad into the Fire- box with care at an even rate.
