Your computer can now access the Internet via your modem, as the two devices are connected to one
another via the HomePlug network and have the same network password.
2.4. You have already created a HomePlug network: adding a
new adapter to your network (Hercules ePlug 85 Solo or
Duo)
Let's take an example of a home in which you have already installed a HomePlug network composed of
HomePlug adapters in the 1.0 standard (Hercules ePlug 85 or HomePlug 85 or 14 Mbits/s adapter). You now
wish to install one or more new Hercules ePlug 85 adapters in order to expand your network and be able to
connect new devices (printer, modem, router, game console...). To simplify the installation, Hercules suggests
using the installation Assistant available on the CD-ROM included with your Hercules ePlug 85 adapters.
Preliminary step: Connect a computer to one of the already installed adapters (Hercules ePlug or
other)
The following procedure only applies if none of the computers in your home are already connected to
one of the adapters of your existing network.
If a computer is already connected, skip to the step Launch the Hercules ePlug 85 installation Assistant
on the computer connected to the adapter, below.
