[DISC] Menu

Disc Format

If you want to copy a disc, use only the disc which
is formatted on this unit.
If you load a completely blank disc, the recorder will
initialize the disc.
Also, you can reformat the DVD-RW/DVD+RW from
the Setting menu as below.
1. Display [Setting] menu.
2. Select [DISC] option then press ENTER (b).
3. Select [Format] option then press ENTER (b).
4. Press ENTER (b) while [Yes] is selected.
Format Disc menu appears.
Disc initializetion is completed will appear.
>
Caution
y If you want disc format, everything recorded
on the disc will be erased.
y While disc formatting or finalizing, if AC
power is accidently disconnected to the
unit by power failure etc., the disc may be
damaged.
y Disc formatted on vista live mode is not
supported.
Finalize
(DVD+R/DVD+R DL/DVD-R Only)
Finalized the recordings in place so that the disc
can be played on a regular unit or computer
equipped with a suitable DVD-ROM drive.

Caution
Once you have finalized a DVD-R and DVD+R
disc, you cannot edit or record anything else
on that disc.
1. Select [Finalize] option then press ENTER (b).
2. Press ENTER (b) while [Finalize] is selected.
Finalize menu appears.
3. Select [OK] then press ENTER (b).
The recorder starts finalizing the disc.

Note
y How long finalization takes depends on the
type of disc, how much is recorded on the
disc, and the number of titles on the disc.
y DVD-R, DVD+R DISC can be finalized only
one time.
y Depending at the disc and the way of
format finalizing may take more time.
