    Turning Power On Your phone has power anytime the aircraft’s main avionics power switch is on. During initial power up, the AirCell Logo Screen appears in the phone’s display. Once the Main Dialing Screens with instructions appear, you can use the phone.

    When calling Iridium-equipped aircraft, always use the 8816 Iridium Country Code. Direct-dialed calls to an AirCell ST 3100 phone are billed by long distance providers as international calls. Since rates vary greatly, check rates before making calls. Or use two-stage dialing, which is generally more cost effective.

You can either dial direct, or use two-stage dialing. Two-Stage Dialing to the Aircraft from the Ground Two-stage dialing is generally the most cost-effective method of calling an AirCell ST 3100-equipped aircraft.
