7. Menu functions

Messages
(Menu 1)
You can read, write and send text and picture
messages or save your messages. All the
messages in your phone's message memory
are organised in folders.
Before you can send any text or picture
messages, you need to save your message
centre number, see
Message settings on page
29.

Writing and sending messages

Your phone is able to send and receive multi-
part messages comprised of several ordinary
text messages (network service) each up to
160 characters. Invoicing is based on how
many ordinary messages are needed for a
multi-part message.
The number of available characters and the
current part number of a multi-part message
are shown at the top right of the display.
1. Press Menu, and select
Write message
2. Key in a message. See

3. To send the message, press Options, and
select Send.
4. Enter the recipient's phone number and
press
OK
to send the message, or search
for the phone number in the phone book.

Note: When sending messages via
the SMS network service, your phone
may display the words
Sent". This is an indication that the
message has been sent by your
phone to the message centre number
programmed into your phone. This is
not an indication that the message
has been received at the intended
destination. For more details about
SMS services, check with your
service provider.

Writing and sending e-mails

You can write and send e-mails of up to 160
characters. How to store an e-mail addresses
in the phone book see
numbers and text items per name on page
1. Press Menu, and select
Write
e-mail.
2. Enter e-mail address or search for an e-
mail address in phone book. Press
accept.
3. Enter subject or leave entry field blank and
press
OK
to accept.
4. Key in an e-mail. See
