Spindle Base
Adjustment
The handwheel adjusts the main spindle base up
or down, as needed.
1. Unlock the spindle locking handle shown in
Figure 18.
2. Turn the handwheel to decrease or increase
the spindle base height from the table as
shown in Figure 17.

3. The height scale on the left makes keeping
track of the spindle height simple.

4. Use the locking handle on the other side of the
head to lock in the spindle height adjustments
as shown in Figure 18.

5. Position the spindle base on the highest setting
allowable. It is safer to adjust the spindle base
down to the correct depth of cut. If the spindle
base is too low, you run the risk of the router bit
hitting the table when activating the foot pedal.
Adjust the spindle base to the highest set-
ting before operating the router. If the spin-
dle base is set too low, you run the risk of
the router bit hitting the table during opera-
tion. Serious personal injury could occur.
