  • Page 9 3. ASSEMBLE SUBSTRUCTURE a. Attach two “U” brackets to each bottom strap with 5/16-18 x 1/2" machine screws and hex nuts as shown in Figures 4 and 5. Insert brackets and screws from under side of straps. b. 12' and 18' OVALS Connect bottom straps and joiners to form strap assemblies as shown in Figure 8.

  • Page 11 4. ASSEMBLE CENTER UPRIGHTS Fasten top plate to sides of upright with two #10 x 1/2”screws (Figure 14). Fasten the top plate to the front of the upright with one #10 x 3/4" sheet metal screw (Figure 14) NOTE: Front tab will have 1/4” gap in front of center upright. Follow a.
  • Page 12 6. ASSEMBLE CIRCULAR BOTTOM FRAMEWORK a. Form a semicircle of rims and foot plates on each end of the pool as shown in Figure 20. Snap rims into foot plates engaging all tabs as shown in Figure 22. Where rims meet center uprights, insert ends into notch at base of upright (Figure 21). b.
  • Page 13 7. INSTALL POOL WALL Set coiled pool wall on a 2 X 2 wood board inside the pool area (FIG. 24). The perforated knockouts in the wall are for an optional thru-the-wall skimmer. Whether a skimmer is used or not, these knockouts MUST be positioned at the TOP of the pool (FIG.

    8. BUILD A COVE AROUND INSIDE BASE OF POOL a. Build an 8" cove of firmly packed masonry sand around the inside base of the pool frame (FIG. 28). USE DAMPENED SAND ONLY! DO NOT USE PEAT MOSS OR ANY TYPE OF “POOL BASE” MATERIAL. The cove is absolutely necessary as it prevents the liner from creeping underneath the wall and rupturing.
  • Page 16 9. INSTALL LINER Choose a warm, sunny day (at least 65°F) to install your liner. The liner is manufactured from a high grade flexible vinyl material. This material is designed to stretch into shape during installation; therefore, it must be warm enough to allow for the proper amount of stretch when installed in the pool.

  • Page 18 10. ATTACH LINER TO POOL As pool fills, watch for tension and wrinkles in the liner. Release the clothespins periodically to relieve tension and remove wrinkles. Continue filling pool to 16" depth and stop. Remove a few clothespins at a time and release tension in liner side material. Replace the clothespins.
