Grasp the vehicle
lap/shoulder belts together
tightly as close to the
vehicle latch plate as
possible.While holding the
belts tightly, unbuckle.
Note:
If the vehicle latch
plate, belt and buckle end
up behind the child
restraint, grasp the belts as
close to the latch plate as
possible.
Thread both portions of
the vehicle belts together
onto the locking clip.
Position locking clip about
2.5 cm (1 in.) from vehicle
belt's buckle plate.
Buckle the vehicle seat
belt with locking clip into
the buckle.The child
restraint and the vehicle
belts should now be tight.
If not, remove and repeat
all steps. If you still have
questions after installing
the locking clip please
contact our Consumer
Relations department.
Preparing Child Restraint
to Fit Your Child
You
MUST
make these adjustments with your child
before you install the child restraint in the vehicle.
Pull UAS belt packaging
1
(plastic bag) out from the
shell.
Loosen harness by pushing
2
in on the harness
adjustment lever. Pull out
on harness just above
buckle plates.
Depending on your model,
the harness release lever
may be under a flap on the
pad in the front of
restraint.
Push on chest clip release
3
button and pull apart.
Press down on the red
4
buckle release button to
release the buckle plates.
Place harness straps over
sides of child restraint.
