SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS
1. The Air Cleaner is equipped with a grounded plug.
Do not defeat the purpose of this plug by removing
the grounding pin, as this may result in an
electrical shock or create an unsafe condition.
2. When the power cord or plug is damaged or
frayed, unplug the Air Cleaner from the wall outlet
and refer servicing to qualified service personnel.
3. Do not overload wall outlets and extension cords,
as this can result in fire or electric shock.
4. Do not allow anything to rest on or roll over the
power cord, and do not place the unit where power
cord is subject to traffic or abuse. This may result
in a shock or fire hazard.
5. Do not attempt to service the Air Cleaner yourself
as opening or removing motor cover may expose
you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer
all servicing to qualified personnel.
6. If the Air Cleaner has been dropped or the cabinet
has been damaged, unplug the unit from the wall
outlet and refer servicing to qualified service
personnel.
7. Unplug the Air Cleaner from the wall outlet before
cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol
cleaners on cabinet.
8. Do not use the Air Cleaner near water, i.e. near a
bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, laundry tub, in a
wet basement, in the rain or near a swimming pool,
etc.
If liquid has been spilled into the Air Cleaner,
unplug the unit from the wall outlet and refer
servicing to qualified service personnel.
9. The Air Cleaner has slots or openings in the
cabinet for ventilation purposes, to provide reliable
operation of the unit, and to protect it from
overheating. These openings must not be blocked
or covered.
10. The Air Cleaner should be operated only from the
type of power source indicated on the rating label.
If you are not sure of the type of power supply at
your location, consult your local power company.
11. If the Air Cleaner does not operate normally by
following the operating instructions, unplug the unit
from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualified
service personnel.
WHAT THE HEPA AIR CLEANER DOES
The Mobile HEPA Air Cleaner has been designed to
remove particulate such as atmospheric dust, coal
dust, insecticide dust, mites, pollen, mold spores, fungi,
bacteria, viruses, pet dander, cooking smoke and
grease, tobacco smoke and more. It also removes
odors (with Carbon Prefilter and Carbon VOC After
Filter) and heavy-duty odors and fumes (with optional
Carbon/Potassium Permanganate VOC Filter).
BENEFITS
Provides a healthier, more comfortable environment
in the most demanding environments.
Provides relief from allergies, asthma, and other
respiratory illness.
Reduces housekeeping time and redecorating
costs.
HOW IT WORKS
Air is drawn in through the top of the unit to the
Activated Carbon Prefilter (1 inch pleated, activated
carbon impregnated polyester filter) which removes lint
and odors before they enter the HEPA filter.
Smaller particles then pass through a long-life, HEPA
(High Efficiency Particulate Air) Filter which captures
99.97% of particles 0.3 micron (1/84,000 of an inch)
and larger. This 6 inch filter has more than 175 ft² of
collection surface area.
Air is then drawn through a Carbon VOC (Volatile
Organic
Compound)
unpleasant odors and gases, or an optional Carbon/
Potassium Permanganate VOC Filter to remove
noxious odors and fumes like formaldehyde, heptane,
tetrachloroethylene, toluene, etc. that are off-gased
from carpets, cabinets, furniture, paints, pesticides,
personal care products, cleaners, etc.
Clean air is discharged from two sides of the unit.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
Never use the unit without all of the filters in place.
1. Remove the Air Cleaner from the box by opening
the top, tipping the box on its side and sliding the
unit out. If your unit has any signs of damage
caused in transit, immediately contact the store
where the Air Cleaner was purchased.
2. Remove all packaging from the unit. Keep the
shipping carton and packaging in case the need
arises to store or transport the unit.
3. Tip unit on its side and install casters on bottom of
unit.
4. Install handle on unit with the screws provided.
5. Choose a suitable location on the floor that allows
unobstructed circulation from the top and both
sides of the Air Cleaner.
6. The unit plugs into a regular 120 volt outlet and is
controlled by two switches located on the rear
panel, near the cord. The system switch turns the
unit ON/OFF, while the speed switch controls the
motor speed.
7. The door must be secured for the Air Cleaner to
operate, as the door is interlocked for safety. All
filters must be in place for the unit to operate
properly.
