Port Mirroring
Port Mirroring monitors and mirrors network traffic by
forwarding copies of incoming and outgoing packets from
one port to a monitoring port. Port mirroring can be used
as a diagnostic tool as well as a debugging feature. Port
mirroring is needed for traffic analysis on a switch because
a switch normally sends packets only to the port to which
the destination device is connected.
To access the page, click Port Mirroring under the L2
Feature.
Direction: Select received, transmitted, or bidirectional
traffic is mirrored.
Source Port: Selects the ports from which the packets are
mirrored.
Destination Port: Select the port to which port traffic is
copied.
Apply: Click Apply in order for settings to take effect.
