Section 4 FPT Gateway Operation FPT Gateway operation is defined as a FocalPoint™ system device reporting an event through the gateway to the Workstation(s), and the Workstation user’s task of handling of those events and the command control of devices. 4.1 Gamewell Panel Groups On the Gamewell panels you can setup points to be in groups.
FPT Gateway Operation Event Handling 4.2 Event Handling The FocalPoint™ Workstation uses the FPT Gateway as the server in a client/server model. When the FPT Gateway is installed, configured, and communicating with the Workstation and a Gamewell/FCI device, the Workstation will be able to receive events and send commands, if applicable, to those devices.
Device Commands FPT Gateway Operation • When the gateway receives a silence event for the panel that is not on the network it will annunciate the panel is silenced on the Workstation, even though the panel is not attached. • When the gateway receives a reset event for the panel that is not on the network it will annunciate the panel has been reset on the Workstation, even though the panel is not attached.
