VCR. Your Dual-Deck VCR connects to your TV and antenna in exactly the same way as any other VCR. If you already own a VCR, take a few minutes to note how it is hooked up. Then simply swap the Dual-Deck with your old VCR using the same settings and connections.

Sequential & Loop Play Two decks give you twice the playback features of a normal VCR. Sequential Play allows you to insert tapes in both decks and play one after another. Loop Play allows you to play both tapes in a continuous loop.

One-Touch Recordings C H A P T E R Recording a TV Program Your Dual-Deck VCR offers a variety of recording options, including One-Touch, Sequential, Loop and Timer Recording. To record a TV program: Insert a blank tape into either deck.

Sequential & Loop Record Two decks give you twice the recording features of a normal VCR. Sequential Record allows you to insert tapes in both decks and record one after another. Loop Record allows you to record both tapes in a continuous loop.
Timer Recording. Your Dual-Deck VCR can record up to eight events up to one year in advance. Note: You must have the VCR’s clock set to the correct date and time for Timer Recording to work (see page 16).

Since SP (Standard Play) is the highest quality, CPR selects this speed initially. • If CPR determines there is not enough time on the tape to record the entire Timer Recording, it will automati- cally change the speed to SLP.
You mark the beginning and ending points of each scene (up to 8 at a time), and your Dual-Deck VCR assembles the scenes automatically (see below). • Sync Editing - Use this method if you plan on making only a few edits in sequence.

This happens because the VCR’s full erase head (which erases the video, audio and control tracks) is always a few seconds behind the recording heads. You may see a vibrating rainbow of color in the middle of the picture and sound can become unstable for a few seconds.
0:00:00. You can do CLEAR this anywhere on a tape. Note: Any time you insert a tape into your Dual-Deck VCR, the Tape Counter will reset to zero automatically. Memory Stop Memory Stop will automatically stop the tape at counter position 0:00:00 when rewinding or fast-forwarding.

Dual-Deck VCR must be serviced by an authorized service center. The VCR must have a tape in Deck 1 for the Edit List to appear because a tape is required to do any editing. Edit List is not available during Copy Tape.

If the VCR is playing an unrecorded or blank tape, the VCR cannot produce on-screen data to be displayed. Stop the tape or record on it to allow the On-Screen Display to resume.
