Circuit Protection

Circuit protection for the modelling lamp is provided by means of a 20 mm fuse
mounted on the rear of the Head. The fuse is rated at 6.3 Amp and should never
be replaced with a fuse of a different type or rating.
The spare fuse is retained under the printed handle insert (Fig.1). To remove the
moulding insert a finger nail under the slot and pull backwards.

Flash Tube Replacement

A user replaceable flash tube assembly is available - Part No. BW-2980.
NOTE: Flash tubes are very delicate. Handle the assembly carefully and do not
bend the mounting legs close to the glass.
ALWAYS switch 'OFF' the Pack and remove the connector to isolate the Head
before replacing the flash tube.
To remove the flash tube first remove the glass dome as detailed above.
The flash tube assembly can become very hot in use. Always allow time to cool
before handling.
Unwind the twisted trigger wire from the flash tube support.
Carefully pull the flash tube assembly away from the Flash Head.
To replace the flash tube, hold the replacement assembly as shown (Fig.4) and
locate the three brass sockets onto the plugs in the front of the Flash Head.
Press down evenly until all the plugs are fully engaged. Pass the trigger wire
through the hole in the trigger terminal tag and wind around the tag, ensuring that
the wire does not touch the metal top hat.
Refit the glass dome as described before.
Discard the old flash tube safely using the packaging from the new tube.
