Installation WARNING To reduce potentially damaging static discharge, do not work on carpeted floors. Touch a safe metal object to release any static before handling the enclosure. Remove the enclosure from the box. Remove the the 4 rear screws with the screwdriver from the top and bottom sides Slide the inner tray outwards towards the front.

Unscrew the 4 screws from the top and bottom of the front faceplate. Carefully remove the face plate from the tray and set it aside. Inside the enclosure you will see a small power cable next to the fan. Plug the cable into the white slot on the board.

Secure the hard drives into the tray with the included screws. 4 screws per drive. Replace the faceplate on the front and secure with screws. Slide the tray with the hard drives back into the enclosure and secure with the screws. Your CAND Series NAS unit is ready to be formatted.

Formatting NOTE For optimal security and convenience, we recommend designating a single computer to handle all configurations. NOTE Formatting will completely erase all data on the hard drives. Connect the power adapter to the NAS. Then plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.
Select RAID Settings to see the status of the finished array. Power off theunit by holding down the power button for a few seconds until it shuts down. Refer to the CAND Series User’s Guide for complete instructions on operating the unit. The guide can be found on www.cavalrystorage.com...
