First Steps

1 Attach the strap.
The AN-N1000 strap supplied with the camera is exclusively for
use on land. Attach the strap securely to the two camera eyelets.
Remove the AN-N1000 before using the camera underwater.
A hand strap (available separately from third-party suppliers)
is recommended to prevent loss when the camera is used
underwater.
2 Charge the battery.
Insert the battery into the charger

. An exhausted battery fully charges in about two hours.
Unplug the charger and remove the battery when charging is
complete.

The Plug Adapter
Depending on the country or region of
purchase, a plug adapter may be sup-
plied with the charger. The shape of the
adapter varies with the country or region
of purchase. If a plug adapter is supplied,
raise the wall plug and connect the plug
adapter as shown at right, making sure
the plug is fully inserted. Attempting to forcibly remove the plug
adapter could damage the product.
