5. Installation

You can use the accessories provided with your GPS device along with the
DVD-ROM to install new software on your GPS navigation device.
Note: The GPS device comes with a SD card that is pre-loaded with
software. Do not attempt to install new software unless you have a
technical background and you are sure of what you are doing. For

PC Requirements

To install and use the Console, your PC must meet the following minimum
system requirements:
CPU: AMD/Intel® Processor (300 MHz or faster)
Operating System: Windows® 000/XP
Memory: 18 MB RAM
Free space on hard drive for installation: minimum 500 MB
CD-ROM: 4x drive
Support ActiveSync 4. and higher.
Installing Active Sync
Before installing the software on your GPS software, you will have to install
Microsoft Active Sync on your PC.
Steps to install Microsoft Active Sync
1.
First you need to install Microsoft Active Sync on your PC. This is needed
to permit the communication between your Navigation GPS device and
your PC. You can download it for free from the Microsoft website:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/default.mspx

After the download, follow the instructions on the Microsoft website.
Note: Active Sync requires Windows XP.

Installing the Console

To install the Console:
1.
Insert the DVD-ROM into the PC's CD-ROM drive. The Console
Installation Wizard prompts you to select the language used for the
installation process. When you have selected a language, click OK.
