IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic precautions should
always be followed to reduce the risk of fire, electric shock
and injury to person, including the following:
1. Read all instructions before using the heater.
2. This heater is designed to be horizontally wall mounted
only, it must not be ceiling mounted.
3. The heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let
bare skin touch hot surfaces. The trim around the heater
outlet becomes hot during heater operation. Keep com-
bustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding,
papers, clothes, and curtains at least 3 ft (0.9 m) from the
front of the unit and keep them away from the sides and
rear.
4. Always ensure a safe mounting height, at or above a
minimum height of 72" (1.8m) from ground level, so that
the heater can not be touched when in operation.
5. The heater must be wall mounted level ± 5° to the hori-
zontal.
6. Do not locate the heater immediately above or below a
fixed socket outlet or connection box.
7. Always disconnect the heater from the electricity supply
before attempting to work on or near it.
8. Always ensure a safe means of access using an access
tower or properly supported ladder.
9. Do not cover the heater.
10. Do not position patio furniture, sunshades, awnings and
other combustible materials too close to the heater.
11. Do not use heater if the elements are broken - as injury
may occur.
12. Wiring between the heater and the spur outlet or isolation
switch must be in a heat resisting cable (e.g. polychloro-
prene).
13. Extreme caution is necessary when any heater is used
by or near children or invalids and whenever the unit is
left operating and unattended.
14. Do not operate any heater after it malfunctions. Discon-
nect power at the service panel and have the heater in-
spected by a reputable electrician before reusing.
15. To disconnect the unit, turn the controls off, and then
switch off at main power supply panel.
16. Do not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any venti-
lation or exhaust opening as this may cause an electric
shock or fire, or damage to the heater.
17. To prevent a possible fire, do not block air intake or ex-
haust in any manner.
18. All electrical heaters have hot and arcing or sparking
parts inside. Do not use in areas where gasoline, paint,
or flammable liquids are used or stored.
19. Do not modify this heater. Use it only as described in
this manual. Any other use not recommended by the
manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to
persons.
WARNING: Please ensure all packaging is removed from
the appliance before switching on. Remove the guard
as shown in Figure 3, remove element packaging and
replace guard.

Installation Instructions

WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, do not store or use
gasoline or other flammable vapors or liquids in the vicinity of
the heater.
CAUTION: High temperature, risk of fire, keep electrical
cords, drapery, furnishings, and other combustibles at
least 3 feet (0.9 m) from the front of the heater.
Electrical
WARNING: The installation of this appliance should
be carried out by a competent electrican and be in
accordance with National Electrical Codes (NEC) and
local codes.
The CXD2000H-NA is designed for use on a 240V AC single
phase supply.
An all-pole isolating switch with a minimum separation of
0.01ft in each pole must fitted to facilitate isolation. This
switch must either be positioned inside a building or have an
IP rating against water ingress suitable for external installa-
tion.
The appliance must be supplied through a residual current
device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not
exceeding 30mA.
The appliance must be connected to a socket-outlet having
an grounding contact.
For supply connections use No.14 AWG or larger wire suit-
able for at least 194°F(90°C).
The wiring to the appliance must be connected with a UL
approved watertight connection for outdoor use. Remove
rain shield for access to this connection and then replace rain
shield once connection is completed. Appliance must have
rain shield installed at all times during operation.

NOTE: Always ensure the cable grip is tightened.
Heaters are supplied with an integral wall bracket which may
be fixed through the mounting holes to any suitable structure.
The bracket positions the heater at an angle of 45 degrees
for optimum performance. The recommended fixing height
is 72" (1.8m) from ground level. (Figure 2)
The integral wall fixing bracket may be removed by fully un-
screwing to facilitate its fixing.
