The manual specifies using only deep-cycle batteries with the Freedom Inverter/Charger and does not mention compatibility with lithium (LiFePO4) batteries. Therefore, it cannot be determined if the Freedom 10 will safely charge a lithium battery in a 2001 Safari Trek.
