1 Programme selector dial
The selector is divided into the following sections:
• Cotton
• Synthetic
• Delicate
• Handwash, Wool, Silk
• Special programmes
• UIT/ARRET Reset programme/OFF
The selector dial can be turned either clockwise or
anticlockwise.
In cotton programmes position ECO corresponds
to the ENERGY SAVING programme.
The programme 40°AA can be selected for slightly
or normally soiled laundry. The temperature will be
automatically reduced and the washing time wil be
prolonged in order to obtain an AA class in washing
performance and energy consumption.
At the end of the programme the selector dial
must be turned to position UIT/ARRET.
ATTENTION!
If you turn the programme selector dial to another
programme when the machine is working, all the
lights of the programme progress display will flash
for about 2 seconds, but the washing machine will
not perform the new selected programme.
2 "Temp." button (Temperature)
Press this button repeatedly to increase or decrease
the temperature, if you want your laundry to be
washed at a temperature different from the one
proposed by the washing machine.
The relevant light will light up.
Maximum temperatures are 95°C for white cotton,
60°C for coloured cotton and synthetic fabrics, 40°C
for delicate fabrics, wool and fabrics to be hand-
washed with the programme "Handwas/Lavage à la
main", 30°C for silk and the programme "30 MIN".
"Position
" corresponds to cold wash.
3 "Centrifug./Essorage" button
(Spin reduction)
Press this button repeatedly to change the spin
speed or to select option
your laundry to be spun at a speed different from the
one proposed by the washing machine. The relevant
light will light up.
Press this button to select the following options:
Spin speed reduction:
The following speeds are available for the
different fabrics:
• Cottons, linen:
500/700/900 max 1200 r.p.m. (for the model EWF
1220), 1400 r.p.m. (for the model EWF 1420), 1600
r.p.m. (for model EWF 1620);
• Synthetics, Handwash and wool:
500/700 max 900 r.p.m.;
• Delicates, Silk and "30 MIN" :
500 max 700 r.p.m.
