It pays to check and prepare

Emptypockets,brush out cuffs,
zip zippers, snap snaps, hooks
and buttons.
Do any necessary
mending—rips,
hems, tears.
Checkall itemsfor areas of heavy
soil or stain.

Remove stains. Use the
SP07SCRUBBER Cycle that's
designed to remove stains and
stubborn soil automatically (see
page 10), and refer to the Stain
Removal chart on page 22 when
you elect to pre-treat and scrub
stains by hand.

way to remove heavy soils,

Soaking can be either a completely
separate washing step or a prelim-
inary step to a complete wash cycle.

Pre-treat heavy soil by rubbing in
a small amount of liquid detergent
or a paste made of water and
powdered detergent or soap. For
best results, wait !4 hour before
washing. Or wash small, extremely
soiled loads in the Mini-BasketTM
tub using the SPOZSC'RUBBER
Cycle. See page 10.
