Installing the Phone

Your two-line phone should be placed on a level surface such as a desk or table top,
or you can mount it on a wall. A desktop/wall mounting pedestal is packaged with
your phone.

Connecting the AC (Electrical) Power

Plug the power adaptor cord into the jack marked 9V AC on the back of the base.
Then plug the other end into an electrical outlet.
CAUTION: Use only the 5-2545 power adaptor that came with this
unit. Using other power adaptors may damage the unit. To order
a new power adaptor, call Thomson Mail Order Department at
1-800-338-0376.
IMPORTANT: Only the following features will work without AC power
- Tone dialing, Outgoing call on Line 1 with receiver volume control,
Dialing of stored numbers from memory, Visual ring indicator only
for Line 1.
Connecting Lines 1+2 to One Dual-Line Phone Jack
1. Connect one end of the straight telephone line cord (that came packaged with your
unit) to the jack on the back of the phone labeled LINE 1+2.
2. Connect the other end of the straight telephone line cord to a dual line wall phone

jack.

Connecting Lines 1+2 to Two Single-Line Phone Jacks
NOTE: If you have two single-line wall jacks, you must use an
adaptor/coupler (not included) to combine two of the wall jacks
into one dual-line jack. The adaptor/coupler may look similar to
the one pictured above and can be purchased from your local
telephone products vendor.
