    2. BEFORE USING A BATTERY CHARGER, read all of the instructions and cautionary markings on (1) battery charger, (2) battery pack, and (3) product using battery. 3. CAUTION: To reduce risk of injury, Porter-Cable chargers should only be used to charge Porter-Cable battery packs. Other types of batteries may burst causing personal injury and damage.

    16. DO NOT CHARGE BATTERY in damp or wet locations. 17. DO NOT ATTEMPT to charge any other cordless tool or battery pack with the Porter-Cable Model 8605 charger. Charge ONLY Porter-Cable Battery Pack Models 8530 (9.6V), 8630 (12V), 8730 (14.4V) and 8830 (19.2V) with this charger.

    Disconnect charger from power source when not in use. DIAGNOSTICS The Model 8605 charger is equipped with a diagnostic system that automatically checks the battery pack each time a pack is inserted into the charger. If no problems are found, the charger will automatically switch to “Fast Charge” mode as described in NORMAL CHARGING.
