LEAD ACID BATTERY INFORMATION
Under normal conditions, and by following recharge recommendations, the Canister Vac bat-
tery will give years of service. If the battery should ever need replacing, follow the Removal and
Handling Instructions. Replacement battery packs can be ordered from Customer Service,
Order Part Number VEC202.
BATTERY PACK HANDLING PRECAUTIONS:
• Do not place battery in high heat or in an area where high risk of short circuit or fire.
• Do not short the terminals.
• Do not clean or wipe the battery casing with paint thinner or chemical solutions.
• Do not disassemble or reassemble the battery pack.
• Always bring unit to a professional technician or shop for repair.
• Skin or eye contact with a leaking battery: rinse the affected area immediately with
water and consult a physician immediately.
• Lead acid batteries contain substances that pollute the environment,
PLEASE dispose of properly.
• To dispose of battery properly, refer to the local ordinances.
