    WorldNav 3000 XL Quick Start Method Plug in the WorldNav 3000 XL to the 12v cigarette lighter in your vehicle. Plug the power cord into the lower of the two holes on the right side of the GPS. The GPS will power on when you turn your car on.
  • Page 11 GPS on the dash to help stabilize it against vibration. Flip the built-in receiver up and pointed towards your windshield. The WorldNav 3000 XL will automatically lock into your GPS position; there is no configuration required. The GPS will know your direction of travel only once you begin to move.

    This allows you to create a route to any intersection if you don't know the exact address of where you are going. Press the <Menu> button and then scroll over to the <Find> button. Press <Find>. © 2006 TeleType Co.

  • Page 25 You must enter the second street and then press <Find>. Note that it is not always necessary to put in "Street" or "Avenue" as you will have a pull down list of possible choices with or without putting in the words "Street" or "Avenue". © 2006 TeleType Co.

POI Search Options Select <By nearest> for the purposes of this tutorial. Use this when you don't know the address or need to find something close by.

    You can find a map of another city in your State and even route to that city. Press <Menu> and then <Find> and finally <Address>. The WorldNav 3000 XL will prompt you for the state and the city. Just press <Next> on the © 2006 TeleType Co.

    WorldNav 3000 XL Map of Selected City Press <Show> for a map of the city or <Route To> and you will get a route from your last known position to the selected city. Finding a waypoint If you have created a waypoint (to be explained later), you can find it in the Find Wizard Menu.

    WorldNav 3000 XL Selecting from a Choice of Addresses History This is on the Find Wizard Menu and provides a history of your recent addresses used in routing routes so that they can be repeated. Just select one of the items from the list that you want displayed.

    WorldNav 3000 XL Special Features 2D/3D Views Your map can be shown in two dimensions where the streets are clearly marked. This looks like a regular map. For 3D mode, only the main streets are labeled but the map more clearly displays what your route looks while driving.
