Sd.Kfz. 173 „Jagdpanther"
Abgeleitet vom berühmten Panzerkampfwagen
V „Panther", erwies sich der „Jagdpanther" im
Gefecht durch seine gelungene Kombination von
Beweglichkeit, Panzerschutz und Feuerkraft
jedem alliierten Gegner als überlegen. Der
„Jagdpanther" mit 8,8cm Pak 43/3 L/71 wurde ab
Januar 1944 produziert. Angetrieben von einem
600 PS starken V 12-Zylinder Maybach Ottomo-
tor erreichte er eine Höchstgeschwindigkeit von
55km/h. Die Besatzung bestand aus 5 Mann.

Based on the famous Panzerkampfwagen V
"Panther", the "Jagdpanther" was superior in
battle to any allied opponent thanks to a
successful combination of mobility, armour and
fire power. The "Jagdpanther", fitted with an 88
mm Pak 43/3 L/71 has gone in production in
January 1944. Powered by a 600 HP V-12 May-
bach internal combustion engine, it reached the
top speed of 55 km/h. It was manned by a crew
of 5.
