Guide to Use of the
Spacemaker@Shelf
The two-position
wire shelf is specifically
designed
for added capacity
heating and reheating in your Spacemaker@ microwave
oven. Now heat-
ing and reheating, which are the most popular uses of microwave
ovens,
may now be done in multiple quantities,
so several foods are ready to
serve at the same time.
When microwaving
with the oven shelf, some techniques
will differ from
the cookbook which came with your oven. It is important to arrange foods
properly,
and this is shown on the next page. Utensil size is important;
select from among the suggestions
below. Also, food size should be con-
sidered; foods over 3% inches high, or 3 pounds are not recommended
for
shelf cooking.
Batters and dough foods and also foods for oven meals using scratch
recipes should be cooked
without the oven shelf, following
cookbook
directions.
