Problems
Coffee leaks around the
filter holder.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Probable causes
The filter holder is not
mounted correctly or
has not been tightened
sufficiently.
There are coffee
grounds on the edge
of the filter.
The brewing head
gasket is dirty.
Leaking through paper
pod.
No water in the water
tank.
Water tank incorrectly
mounted.
Coffee grounds too old
or very dry and the
pump cannot produce
pressure.
No water in the water

Water tank incorrectly

The filter is blocked or
the coffee grounds are
too find or tamped
down too hard.
Brewing head grid is
encrusted.
Coffee grounds too
coarse.
Corrective actions
Reconnect the filter holder
Clean around the filter and
the gasket
Clean the gasket with a
damp cloth.
Tear excess paper from pod
at perforated edge.
Be sure the pod filter is
seated right side up. Read
manufacturers instructions
for correct placement.
Fill the water tank.
Press firmly on the water
tank.
Use fresh coffee.
Fill the water tank.
Press firmly on the water
tank.
Clean the filter and the grid
on the head, and try a
coarser coffee.
Put the grid to soak in a
descaling solution.
Try a finer coffee.
