ALL IN ONE CD DJ MIXING SYSTEM
OVERVIEW
The KCDMix100 has been designed to give the
aspiring DJ all of the facilities you need to learn and
develop the skills you need to become a CD DJ.

It provides two identical CD player units and a built in
two channel + mic channel DJ mixer.
CD PLAYER FEATURE DETAILS

LCD DISPLAY - provides visual information regarding
current settings.

EJECT - opens and closes the CD TRAY. NOTE: the
tray will not open when a disc is playing.

TRACK SKIP - standard Track Skip buttons.

+10 BUTTON - is essentially a TRACK SKIP button
that jumps forward ten tracks at a time.

TIME/STOP BUTTON - switches the screen between
showing Elapsed or Remaining time for an individual
track or the entire CD. Press and hold for 3 seconds
to place the unit in 'stop' mode.

CUE/SINGLE/CONTINUE - switches between

standard CONTINUE mode where each track on a
CD will be played in turn... and AUTO CUE SINGLE
mode where when a track finishes, playback will stop
and the beginning of the next track will be Cued ready
for playback.

RELAY - In Single Mode RELAY causes each CD
player to play individual tracks, back to back in relay. In
Continuous Mode each CD will be played in turn until
playback is stopped.

PROGRAM - You can use this facility to program up
to 28 tracks to play in your chosen order.

Talkover automatically reduces the music level while the
microphone is in use and then automatically returns the
music to normal level when the microphone is no longer
in use.

MIC LEVEL - used to set the volume of the Microphone.

MIC EQ - The MC/DJ microphone has its own dedicated
BASS and TREBLE EQ controls. NOTE: To maximize the
performance of this microphone channel check out the
range of Mixer Matched KAM Microphones.

SPLIT / MIX SWITCH - controls the way in which the
headphone monitoring circuit works. In the SPLIT position
the sound from channel 1 is played on one side of the
headphones and the audio from channel 2 on the other.
When the switch is in the MIX position the sound from
both channels is heard in both sides of your headphones.

CUE MONITOR SELECT FADER - controls what is
monitored in the headphones. With the fader to the left
you should hear the sound from channel 1 only. With the
fader to the right you should hear the sound from channel
2 only. With the fader in the centre you should hear a mix
of both channels 1 and 2.

KAM PROFADE CROSSFADER - allows the user to mix
smoothly between both music channels.

CUE LEVEL - controls the output volume of the
headphones. Care should be taken not to have this set to
high as it could result in damage to both the hearing of
the user and the headphones. The channel to be
monitored is selected via the cue monitor select fader.

LED LEVEL DISPLAY'S
The unit has two LED level displays. They show the Left
and Right levels of the Master Output of the mixer.

MASTER OUTPUT CONTROL - controls the overall output
level from the mixer, from the master output to the PA
System. NOTE: care should be taken not to produce
distortion with these controls as this could result in
damage to both the unit and any external equipment
connected.

INPUTS - each channel features RCA type inputs which are
switchable between Line Level (for CDs etc) and Phono Level (for
decks) connections. NOTE: always use shielded signal cables to
reduce hum and background noise. The unit should always be
switched off when connecting cables.

INPUT SELECTION SWITCHES - use these switches to choose
which signal type is selected for the inputs.

GROUND POSTS - when using the Phono Level selection to
attach a turntable use these to attach the ground wires from
turntables.

ANALOGUE AUDIO OUTPUTS - the unit has two outputs. The
MASTER (unbalanced Line level) is usually used to connect the
KCDMIX100 to your amplifier. The RECORD (unbalanced Line
level) is usually used to connect the KCDMIX100 to the line input
of your tape deck or MD so that your can record your
performance.

DIGITAL AUDIO OUTPUTS - use these S/PDIF RCA output
connections to connect each CD Player to the input of a suitably
equipped Digital Amplifier or the Audio Interface of a Computer.
