Power on and off

1 Press the STANDBY-ON button on the remote control to switch on the system.
2 To switch on standby mode, press this button again.

Volume control

The master volume level range is from 0 to 40 dB.
1 In any active mode, press VOL +/- to increase or decrease the master volume.
MIN 01 02 03 ..... 30 ..... 38 39 MAX
2 If you press this button once, the volume level will be increased 1 unit or
decreased one step 1 unit.
3 Press and hold to increase/decrease the volume level.
NOTE:
When master volume less than 20 dB or equal 20 dB, switch power off, then
power on, the volume level will resume to last setting. Otherwise, when mas-
ter volume more than 20 dB, switch power off, then power on, the volum level
will return to 20 dB.

Mute control

1 The volume is muted temporarily when pressing the MUTE button on the remote
control.
2 Press MUTE, VOLUME or related with sound function buttons to release the
MUTE function.

Surround mode

1 DVD mode
Press SURROUND button repeatedly to select Pro Logic MOVIE MUSIC
STEREO cyclically.
2 TUNER mode
Press SURROUND repeatedly to select Pro Logic MOVIE MUSIC STE-
REO cyclically.
3 AUX mode
press SURROUND repeatedly to select the following item:
Pro Logic MOVIE MUSIC
STEREO cyclically.
When select the Pro Logic, the FR, C.FL.SR.SL.SUB LED will light, "
will display on the VFD.
When select the Stereo, the L, R, SUB led will light, " Stereo" will be flash a time
on display, then the VFD will display "AUX".
4 COAXIAL mode
If receive the DOLBY DIGITAL signal, press this button repeatedly to select
the following item: DOLBY DIGITAL
"
STEREO.
If receive the PCM signal, press this button repeatedly to select the following
item:Pro Logic MOVIE MUSIC STEREO.
NOTE:
In stereo mode, the SR+/-, SL+/-, CENTRE+/- function will not operate.

Source mode

1 Press SOURCE button on the front panel repeatedly to select source:
COAX FM MW AUX TV/VCR DVD.

Test tone mode

1 Press TEST TONE button, the system will test
speaker(FL CEN FR SR SL SUB) cyclically, the noise will repeatedly
go from speaker to speaker.
2 In test tone on mode, press any key on remote control can exit the function.
3 Front-L, Centre, Front-R, Surround-R, Surround-L, Subwoofer these surround
channel Level adjust range is -15 to +10dB.

Setting the speakers

You can adjust the delay times (centre and rear only) and set dynamic on or off.
These adjustments let you optimize the sound according to your surrounding and
setup
1 In COAXIAL mode only, press and hold PROG for five seconds to enter system
setup.
2 Press VOL+/- to select one of the following options: CENTRE DELAY, REAR
DELAY, DYNAMIC or MENU OFF.
3 Press PROG to confirm.
CENTRE DELAY : - Select this to set the delay time in relation to the listening
position/ distance from centre speaker: 5ms, 3ms, 2ms, 1ms or OFF(default
setting).
REAR DELAY : - Select this to set the delay time in relation to the listening position/
distance from rear speakers: 15ms, 12ms, 9ms, 6ms, 3ms or OFF(default set-
ting).
DYNAMIC : - Set the dynamic setting ON or OFF(default setting).
MENU OFF : - Select this exit system menu directly.
4 Use the VOL+/- to adjust the settings that best suit your surround sound needs.
5 Press PROG to confirm your selection.
NOTE:
Use the longer delay time setting when the rear speakers are closer to the
listener than the front speakers.

Tuning to radio stations

Total 40 FM stations can be stored only.
1 Press TUNER on remote control or SOURCE on unit to select FM or MW.
2 Press TUNING+/- to select a desired radio stations in up/down sequence.
3 Press and hold TUNING+/- on remote control until the frequency indication starts
to change, then release. The tuning scan will stop when a station is found.
4 Repeat Step 2 to select another stations.
