Entering Text With the Onscreen Keyboard
Your Keyboard Settings
You can customize your onscreen keyboard
settings to suit your needs:
Touch
> Settings > Language & input to access
the options menus.
• Touch Default and touch an option to set a
default keyboard (English (US) Android
keyboard, Swype, or TouchPal Keyboard).
• To set options for a specifi c keyboard, touch
the Settings icon (
) next to any of the
keyboard options.
• Android keyboard options may include
Language, General options such as
Auto-capitalization and keypress actions, Text
Correction options, and Advanced options.

• Swype options may include tutorial, dictionary,
and language options. The Preferences option
lets you access additional settings such as
Auto-spacing, Auto-capitalization, and Word
suggestion.
• TouchPal Keyboard options include a General
settings menu with keypress and other
options; a Keyboard layout menu allowing you
to choose alternate layouts for TouchPal; a
Smart input menu for options such as
correction, spellcheck, Advanced mode, and
TouchPal Curve; Languages; a Dictionary
manage menu that allows you to update,
customize, and back up your user dictionary;
and a Help & About menu.

Find sports scores, news, and weather. Shop online. On-the-go access lets you browse full-color
versions of your favorite websites.
Go Online
1. Touch

Browser. The
fi rst time, you may be prompted to enter your
wireless phone number.
2. From the Sprint home page, select categories,
navigate to websites, read blogs, download
content, and more.
• Touch a category to open it.
• For more options, touch
from any page.
Options may include Refresh, Forward,
Bookmarks, Save to bookmarks, Share page,
Find on page, Request desktop site, Save for
offl ine reading, Page info, Downloads,
Settings, Exit, and About browser.
• To scroll, slide your fi nger up or down the page.
• To zoom in or out, pinch the screen.

Downloading Apps From the Web
You can download Apps while browsing the
Web, but you must fi rst set permissions in
settings to allow applications from unknown
sources. Applications downloaded from the
Google Play Store app (see page 23) do not
require additional permissions.
1. Touch

> Settings > Security.
2. Select the Unknown sources check box.
3. When the Attention dialog box opens, read the
disclaimer and touch OK.
Note: All downloaded applications are saved to
your phone's memory.
