Mending with Multi-Stitch Zigzag

The Multi-Stitch is a three-step zigzag stitch. It is stronger than a traditional
zigzag stitch and is used for mending, reinforcing a seam, darning, applying
elastic and many other techniques. It is ideal when mending tears.

Stitch:
Pattern Selector:

Stitch Width:

Stitch Length:
Presser Foot:
Needle Position:
Materials:
2" x 2" denim square
5" x 5" denim, cut a 1" tear in center of denim
Procedure:
Use the small denim square as a backing to add reinforcement.
Stitch directly over the tear. Turn handwheel to lower needle into the fabric.
Pivot 180 degrees and sew again.
