This limitedwarranty is extendedbyTrane,a businessofAmerican Standard, I nc.,to the original
purchaser a ndto anysucceeding ownerof the realpropertyto whichthe TraneWeathertron ® Heat
Pumpisoriginallyaffixed,andappliesto productspurchased andretained for usewithinthe
U.S.A.andCanada.
Ifany internal f unctional p artof yourTraneWeathertron ®HeatPumpfailsbecauseof a manufacturing
defectwithinten yearsfromthe dateof the originalpurchase, T ranewill furnishwithoutchargethe
requiredreplacement p art. Any localtransportation, relatedservicelabor,diagnosis calls,refrigerant
andrelateditemsare notincluded.
Ifa compatible Traneindoorunitand/orTranethermostat i s incorporated inthe systemandis installed
atthe sametime asyourTraneWeathertron ®HeatPump,thenif anyTranefurnished internal f unctional
partofthatunitfailsbecauseof a manufacturing d efectwithinten yearsfrom the dateof original
purchase, T ranewillfurnishthe requiredreplacement p art. Any localtransportation, relatedservice
labor,diagnosis calls,refrigerant a ndrelateditemsarenot included.THISLIMITEDWARRANTY IS IN
LIEUOF ANYEXPRESS WRITTENLIMITED WARRANTY ACCOMPANYING A NYOFTHEABOVE
INDOOR PRODUCTS.
Ifthesealedmotor-compressor failsor ifthe outdoor c oilshouldbecome defective, e itheror bothevents
occurring because ofa manufacturing d efect w ithinten yearsfromthe dateof original p urchase, Tranewill
furnishwithoutchargethe required replacement compressor and/oroutdoor c oil.Anylocaltransportation,
related servicelabor,diagnosis calls,refrigerant andrelateditemsarenotincluded.
This limitedwarranty doesnot coverfailureof yourTraneWeathertron ® HeatPumpif it is damaged
whileinyourpossession, damagecausedbyunreasonable useof theTraneWeathertron ® HeatPump
and/or damagefromfailure to properly maintainthe TraneWeathertron ® HeatPumpas setforthin
the UseandCaremanual ( seeProper Maintenancesection).
This limitedwarrantyappliesto productinstalled on or after10/1/2001 whereproduct i s manufactured
after1/1/2000. T his limitedwarranty is not retroactive to any installations priorto 10/1/2001 or on
product p roducedpriorto 2000.
