Step 6. Install the 3ware Driver and
Software
Before you can access units on your 3ware RAID controller, you
must install the driver. In addition, you will find it helpful to install
3ware Disk Manager 2 (3DM), and web application that you can
use to create RAID units, and if you prefer to work at the command
line, the 3ware CLI (command line interface).
This section tells you where to find details about installing the
driver and software you need.
To install the driver and software
Turn to the 3ware Serial ATA RAID Controller User Guide and

follow the instructions in Chapter 4, Driver Installation, to
install the driver for your 3ware RAID controller.

Your 3ware RAID controller card requires different drivers for
Windows, Linux and FreeBSD, all of which are included on the
3ware CD-ROM that came with your controller.
