Basic Setup
A language-selection
dialog is displayed the first time the camera is turned on. Set up the camera as
described below (for information
on resetting the clock or changing
languages, see page 105).
Choose a language.

1.1 Pressthe selector up or down to highlight a language.

Set the date and time.
2.1 Pressthe selector left or right to highlight the year, month, day, /rA_
hour, or minute and press up or down to change.

the order in which the year, month, and day are displayed, high-
light the date format and press the selector up or down.
2.2Press MENU/OK A battery type message will be displayed; if the
type differs from the type inserted in the camera, use the setup
menu []

107) to specify the correct
type.

If the batteries are removed for an extended period, the camera clock and battery type will be reset and the
language-selection dialog will be displayed when the camera is turned on. If tile batteries are left in the camera
for about 10 hours, the battery carl be removed for about 24 hours without resetting the clock, language, or bat-
tery type.
