Using
AF toFocus
(AF M ethod)

The camera focuses with a single AF point. This is effective when you
want to focus a particular subject.

isplay the Live View
image.
® Press the <r_>
button.
_y,, T he Live View image will appear on
the LCD monitor.
_ The AF point <[_> will appear.
® During movie shooting, if [Movie
Servo AF] is set to [Enable], the AF
point will be displayed in a larger size.
_._, Move the AF point.
_ Press the <,,_, > cross keys to move the
AF point to where you want to focus. (It
cannot go to the edges of the picture.)
® To return the AF point to the center,
press the <@> button.
® You can also tap the LCD monitor
screen to move the AF point.
Focus
the subject.
_ Aim the AF point over the subject and
press the shutter button halfway.
_y,, W hen focus isachieved, the AF point will
turn green and the beeper will sound.
_y,, I f focus is not achieved, the AF point
will turn orange.

Take the picture.
® Check the focus and exposure, then
press the shutter button completely to
take the picture (p.74).
