    Charging the Battery The battery is not charged at shipment. Charge the battery before use. Batteries The camera uses an NP-45A rechargeable battery. Place the battery in the charger. Insert the battery into the supplied battery charger as shown, making sure that the bat- tery is in the orientation indicated by the C B D label.

    Using the Self-Timer The camera off ers a “couple timer” for self-portraits taken with a friend, a “group timer” for group por- traits, a ten-second timer (pg. 34) that allows photographers to appear in their own photographs, and a two-second timer (pg. 34) that can be used to avoid blur caused by the camera moving when the shutter button is pressed.
